The Story Behind Bringing MODU to Thailand – เบื้องหลังการพา MODU มาเมืองไทย
Keimen Kids

The Story Behind Bringing MODU to Thailand
We have some news worth sharing — Keimen Kids was recently featured in The Cloud, a Thai online magazine covering business and lifestyle, in its Big Brand column, talking through the story behind bringing MODU, the Danish toy brand, into the Thai market.
A Problem Every Household Recognizes
The feature opens with a reference to Guardian reporting on how much children’s toys end up as waste within a year — a problem the Keimen Kids team encountered firsthand back when the business was still toy rental. Most toys are designed for a narrow age window, meaning families end up buying one toy after another, each used for only a short stretch of time.
That’s part of why, when Keimen Kids shifted from rental to curated retail, the team built its brand-selection criteria around three things: sustainable, timeless, and aesthetic. MODU checked all three boxes.
A Relationship, Not Just a Supply Deal
One of the most memorable parts of the interview was how the Keimen Kids team described reaching out to MODU’s team in Denmark to become the Thai distributor. It was, by their account, unlike working with any other brand — MODU’s team prioritized relationship and genuine understanding of the brand over sales figures. Every decision, whether a reorder or a new product request, moved at the pace of quality assurance rather than business urgency.
Getting to Know MODU’s Building Blocks
The article also walks through MODU’s core components in detail: the lightweight, durable, 100%-recyclable EPP foam pieces; the different peg types used for different structural needs; and the two wheel types suited to different ages. It also introduces the three main sets — Curiosity Set, Explorer Set, and Dreamer Set — each built around a different developmental stage.

Why This Feature Matters to Us
Being interviewed by The Cloud wasn’t just a chance to talk about a brand we’re proud to carry — it was an opportunity to share the thinking behind how the Keimen Kids team chooses which toys are worth bringing to Thai families.
